Radiator Repair
Your vehicle’s radiator can go south for a number of reasons: brittle hoses, damaged water pump; weakened solders; leaky fittings; malfunctioning thermostat; rusting, and more. Any of these problems signal the need for radiator repair.
Without a well-functioning radiator, your engine can’t survive the super-heated environment caused by liquids that course through it. Fluids heat up as a result of the friction produced when so many moving parts rub against each other. That’s why it’s crucial to keep your radiator in good working condition.
The older the radiator, the more likely it is to begin to experience problems. Vehicles older than five years are the ones we see coming in most often for radiator work. When you spot and report radiator symptoms, we carefully scrutinize the entire system to find whatever is amiss: old hoses, restricted water flow, leaks, fitting failures, crack in plastic tanks, etc., before we undertake any radiator repair.
Here at Chuck’s Auto Repair (in North Seattle or Shoreline) we are AAA-approved for Total Car Care, we employ ASE-Certified Master Mechanics that understand all about radiators and their cooling problems. We also know you don’t want to be vehicle-less for any longer than is absolutely necessary—your wheels get you where you’re going and when they stop rolling you start stressing out, losing your access to work, shopping, and play. I came in with an overheating issue that ended up being a leaking radiator and was very pleased with the service. The staff performed a diagnostic and told me exactly what was wrong with the car. The prices were explicitly stated. After I authorized the repairs, they were performed on the same day and my contact stayed late (after 5pm) so that I could pick up the car on the same day. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and was able to explain complicated concepts in a straightforward manner so that I could understand what I was paying for. Thanks!
