Tip #3 for winterizing your vehicle

Check your belts and hoses regularly to ensure they are working properly for you. To inspect a belt, you will want to look for any signs of cracking or fraying. If you are noticing these signs, it's probably time to replace those belts. Neglecting belts can cause you to end up on the side of the road waiting for the tow truck to take you to the nearest auto repair shop.

Same goes for your hoses. Make sure to check your hoses regularly as well. The best way to check coolant hoses is to visually inspect them for bulging or leakage. You will also want to squeeze the hose in various spots to check for cracking sounds, harness or soft spots. If any of those are noticed, its time for new hoses.
